The following files are located in the main (root) directory of this
SuperDisk driver diskette:
File Contents
EZSETUP.EXE Setup program for use with software configurable
adapters (8003EP, 8003EB, 8003W, 8013EP, 8013W,
8013EW , 8013EPC, 8013EWC, 8013WC).
JUMPERS.DOC Jumper settings and configuration information for
Standard Microsystems and Western Digital LAN adapters.
README.DOC This file.
SYSMAP.DOC System configuration information helpful for
identifying configuration conflicts.
xxx.LAN and NetWare 286 server and shell driver files that are
xxx.OBJ required to be in the root directory.
DRIVERS.BAT Copies the AppleTalk Phase 2 files into the root
directory on the SuperDisk. Your original SuperDisk
is write protected. You must first make a backup
of the SuperDisk using DISKCOPY before running
the DRIVERS.BAT file.

of Novell NetWare and many TCP/IP packages
DOS_ODI <DIR> Open data-link interface driver to be used with ODI
protocol stacks
NDIS <DIR> NDIS compliant drivers to be used with NDIS compliant
network operating systems and protocol stacks
OS2_ODI <DIR> Driver for OS/2 nodes in the Novell NetWare environments
NADD <DIR> Program to display the base I/O and network address
of installed LAN boards
In addition to the driver or utility program itself, each subdirectory
contains:
o an INSTALL.DOC or USER.DOC file that explains how to
install and use the software; and
o a RELEASE.DOC file that states the current version,
release date, and any improvements that were made
in this version of the software.
**** PLEASE NOTE ****
Each driver on this diskette contains modifications for the 83C690
Network Interface Controller LSI device. The latest version of each driver
must be used with adapters which contain the 83C690 device. It
is recommended that the latest version be used in ALL applications.
USE OF ADAPTERS WHICH CONTAIN THE 83C690 WITH OLDER VERSIONS
OF DRIVERS MAY LEAD TO DATA INTEGRITY PROBLEMS.

== DRIVERS AVAILABLE FROM SMC BBS and COMPUSERVE ==
Standard Microsystems makes documentation, diagnostic software, and
drivers available to its resellers and customers for use with Standard
Microsystems products on the SMC BBS (714-707-2481) and COMPUSERVE.
Once connected to COMPUSERVE enter GO SMC to connect to the Standard
Microsystems forum.
== BOOT ROMs ==
Use the Standard Microsystems ELITE boot ROM or the latest Western
Digital boot ROM, marketing model number ROM-NOV F001, on the
ELITE family boards. This ROM can also be used on older Western
Digital adapters. Older ROMs sold under marketing model number
WDROM-NOV F000 from Western Digital will not operate properly on the
ELITE family of adapters.
